Sims 4 Stealing Mod

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this update. The Sims has been following a strict technology diet of no decent long gameplay change for a long time now, and chips away at the Sims 4 seven years later without improving the core gameplay or even adding new gameplay. That's a seriously retrogressive move, no matter what context you look at it at.
I think I like this mod, truly. There aren't many changes here for Thief's mod, but the one that is there I really like. I like the flavour of the modding community leaking into the Sims some, since really all it does is tweak interactions and object placement to feel more Thief-like. I think that's a fun little touch to the mod, too. But, in return, I miss Thief the way it was.
However, I think this update is pretty neat, and honestly, I imagine it's probably pretty close to what the game might have been like if they stuck with expansion packs and kept on updating the base game instead of focusing on the fourth console generation. The base game has been getting slowly more prone to bugs with each update, so the mods are definitely improving the game quite a bit. Having a stable base game with more content is better than having no base game with a constantly buggy modding community and a perpetually lackluster main game.
Aside from that, it's my first mod that ever modifies the object list. I actually like it, but I have to wonder why the modder went that route instead of just placing the custom objects on the map and having them appear on the objects list. I suppose that if you don't know where all the objects are at first, placement would be the only way to access them. Still, I don't have to think of it like that, because I can see the objects on the map and right-click them. 7211a4ac4a
